DSS RESENTS IGNORING OF JAMMU VOICES BY GOVT
In a specially convened meeting of the Dogra Sadar Sabha(DSS) members took exception to the attitude of the central leadership who have been persistently ignoring to meet local Jammu civil society to resolve various concerning issues and aspirations of the Jammu region. Th. Gulchain Singh Charak apprised the members that even an audience with the Hon’ble Home Minister Shri Amit Shah has not been possible to a delegation of this 115 years old secular, non political organization that represents all communities, occupations and walks of life of Jammu region, although constant efforts have been made to meet him and the Hon’ble Prime Minister. He apprised that the DSS plans to go to public with relevant details, if their voice is kept suppressed in the same way.
The meeting also decided to celebrate Lohri festival and greeting session at the Dogra Bhawan on the 13th Jan afternoon at 4 PM. All members were requested to join the event that has its roots in and known as a symbol of communal harmony and joined by all communities across the country in one form or the other. The DSS also plans to pay tributes to the Vir Naris, War Wounded, War Decorated and the War Veterans on the Veteran’s Day being organized at the Vijay Stambh on 14th Jan 2020 by the Sainik Welfare Department. Besides that the event of Republic Day celebrations were streamlined. Members also discussed various regional and sub regional points that the DSS proposed to take up with the Government of UT shortly. Prominent in the meeting were attended by Col. Karan Singh, Brig. M .S Jamwal, Amanat Ali Shah, Madan Rangila, S. Kulbir Singh, Mukesh Kumar, Chhankar Singh, Ajay Singh, Swaran Singh, Bharat Bhushan Talwar, G .A Khwaja, Col Dr .Virendra Kumar Sahi VrC, Madan Lal Bhagat and Qadir Hussain.
