Today, on the auspicious occasion of 15th August 2024, the Bishnah unit of Dogra Sadar Sabha
J&K celebrated the 78th Independence Day with immense fervor and patriotism. The event was
graced by Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, Former Minister and President of the Sabha, who proudly
hoisted the national flag in the presence of Sh. Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, In-Charge of the
Youth Wing DSS, Sh. Madan Bhagat, and other prominent figures of the town.
In his inspiring address, Sh. Charak paid glowing tributes to the martyrs who sacrificed their
lives to secure freedom for the nation. He also expressed deep concern about the ongoing
terrorism and influx of Drugs from across the border and appealed to the authorities to take some
effective steps to save the people especially the youth from this menace. He also asked the
people of this erstwhile state to be vigilant against this dangerous moves of the enemy .
Furthermore, he expressed hope that the Hon’ble Prime Minister will fulfill his commitment to
restore statehood to Jammu & Kashmir, a promise that resonates deeply with the people of the
region.Prominent among those who participated in the celebration were Dr. Ragbir Singh
Charak. Surinder kumar (Ex En), Jagdeep Singh, Chhankar Singh, Suraj Prakash, Rajesh Saini,
Dr SK Digra, Darbari Lal Choudhary and others.
The event concluded with the distribution of sweets among the participants, symbolizing the
spirit of unity and celebration that marked the day.
