DSS expresses grave concern over the total failure of the State Govt. & deteriorating conditions in the State.

Expressing grave concern over the prevailing deteriorating conditions in Kashmir valley, the Dogra Sadar Sabha observed that there is no Government and law enforcing authorities visible anywhere in Jammu and Kashmir especially in Kashmir valley which has given agony and pain to the right thinking citizens. Under such circumstances and with a view to provide better environment, peace, harmony and healing touch to the people, the Sabha demanded immediate imposition of Governor Rule in the State.
The Sabha which represents holistic socio and cultural heritage of Jammu region since its inception for more than a century, in its executive body meeting discussed in detail about the socio political scenario and expressed its views in order to maintain peace and tranquility in its far flung and hilly districts including Rajouri and Poonch.
Reiterating its resolves to preserve and maintain the pristine heritage “Mubarak Mandi Complex”, Jammu, which is presently suffering destruction due to ongoing rainy season, the Sabha unanimously decided to stress upon the Government for its proper care and protection. It was also decided that to generate public awareness about this historic Dogra treasure peaceful demonstration would be carried out. The Sabha also castigated the concerned authorities for not taking any effective action to preserve the heritage despite repeated memoranda to them.
Coming heavily on the administration for not taking any disciplinary action against a police officer deployed at “Balidan Stambh”, for his desecration acts the Sabha once again asked the concerned ministry as well the department to honour the sentiments of the people by taking befitting action against such a irresponsible, uncultured person posted at such sacred place “the memorial of Martyrs”. In case of any delinquency, the people of Jammu would be compelled to come to the streets, the Sabha decided. The Sabha said that in case proper action was not taken, the mischievous elements can further spoil the peaceful atmosphere at Jammu as such incidents have already occurred in temples where the persons involved were branded as mentally unsound by the administration.
The Sabha also expressed deep concern over the prolongation of lawlessness and destruction in Kashmir valley and gave a clarion call to the Civil Society of Kashmir to come forward and cooperate with “All Jammu Civil Society Forum” in its efforts to find some pragmatic solution for solving the problem. The Sabha also suggested that the government employees from Jammu on duty presently at Civil Secretariat Srinagar may be deployed in Civil Secretariat Jammu to ensure functioning of Govt. in peaceful environs of Jammu as the functioning of Civil Secretariat in Srinagar has totally collapsed.
The President of Dogra Sadar Sabha who is also convener of All Jammu Civil Society Forum disclosed that special teams formed by the Forum have visited the twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch and held meetings with the local Civil Society there. The local civil societies have assured their full cooperation in preserving peace and harmony in Jammu region in particular and entire State in general.
