DSS, AJCSF condole demise of Mehmood-ur-Rehman

In a condolence meeting held at the Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) Bhawan the DSS and All Jammu Civil Society Forum (AJCSF) members condoled the sad demist of a retired IAS office Mehmood-ur Rehman of J&K cadre.

In a message, former State minister, President DSS cum convener of AJCSF Th. Gulchain Singh Charak recalled the dedicated services of the late bureaucrat. He made special reference of the devotion and sincere services by Mr Rehman as Home secretary during the crisis period of militancy and KPs forced exodus in 1990s. Members recalled the long repeated tenures of Mr Rehman in varied capacities. Mehmood-ur Rehman is specially remembered for establishment of India Islamic Center at New Delhi as also for his remarkable services as Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). The members offered sympathies to the bereaved family and wished the Almighty God to rest his soul in peace and give courage and fortitude to the family to bear this irreparable loss.,
