On pressing demand of the local population and in consideration of the disturbed conditions of the District for varied reasons, President Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) Th. Gulchain Singh Charak accompanied by members of his core group visited Kathua. He was accorded a very warm welcome in a largely attended public meeting with a predominant presence of the youth and women from the district who were keen to meet and interact with the former minister and president DSS.
Yet to emerge from the nightmare of the sad Rassana incident, its handling, evil propaganda and aftermath, the prominent persons from all the over the district expressed their miseries caused due to cross border firing by Pakistan and the rampant discrimination by the State government administration almost in every possible field of life.
Th. Gulchain Singh Charak gave them a patient hearing and assured to take up the individual issues with appropriate authorities. He exhorted members of all communities present in the meeting to stay united as one entity of Dogras of this region, rise above the political, religious and linguistic barriers and maintain the traditional love, brotherhood and value each others sensitivities. He pointed out that there are deliberate and wicked conspiracies to break our unity and disturb our region like in the Kashmir to claim that the whole J&K State is on fire. We must guard against such divisive game plans and stay together under these trying times of difficulty. He invited public in general and the youth in particular to come forward and take lead in the nation building and do their best in whatever field they are, as students, workers, employees, traders or educationists. He asked all locals to stay connected with their own culture and language that is a great binding factor and life line of any society, race and region.
