In a special meeting of its executive body attended by a large number of members representing all the districts of Jammu province, held under their President Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak, the members of the Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) expressed their disgust about prevailing political scenario of the whole state in general and Jammu province in particular, because of the self-centered, corrupt and dirty politics being played by various political parties for the last 70 years. They have been out rightly ignoring the Dogras’ concerns. The Heritage is in shambles, the Dogra Culture, its history vanishing, beautiful tourist spots have been totally ignored, no proper arrangements for the crores of pilgrims visiting this province. Age-old brotherhood of this Duggar Pradesh is in danger; the whole Dogriyat is under threat, demography overwhelmed by non Dogras including foreigners. Even due share in Political Power, Job opportunities, Educational Growth and Developmental Opportunities are not available. The whole public, especially the youth, is being exploited by the selfish degraded politicians for their own ends. The Sabha has started a vigorous struggle to save its heritage etc. and seek justice for this region by appealing time and again to the so-called Jammu Leaders to come on one platform, for the sake of getting justice and save this peaceful region from going the Kashmir way.Pressed to the wall, the stalwarts of Dogra Sadar Sabha were forced to take a strong and forceful decision, after threadbare discussions, in consultation with the group of intellectuals and thinkers. The Sabha will now come to forefront and once again toe the lines as had been laid down years back by the founding fathers. Thus, it was decided that this 115 years old First Democratic Political organisation of the State, founded by our Fore Fathers shall fight for getting justice for the people of this beautiful state. It must not stay a mute spectator and play its role for which it came into existence. The members in a resounding majority decided to form a Political Affairs Committee of the Sabha comprising of representatives from all parts of the Jammu province, to decide the further course of action for the forthcoming elections in thestate. Accordingly the “Political Affairs Committee” of the Sabha comprising of the following members was constituted:Dr.N.K.Sharma , Col. Dr. Virendra K Sahi, VrC Senior Journalist, PS Gupta, GDS Charak, GA Khawaja, S. Kakumat Singh (Adv), Brig MS Jamwal, Dharamchand, Krishan Kumar and Raj Kumar Thapa. The prominent members among those who expressed their views in the meeting were Prof NK Dogra, Col. KS Jamwal, Col. . Dr.Virendra K Sahi, VrC, Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Amanat Ali Shah, RS Slathia, Raj Kumar Thapa, Dharamchand, Sukhdev Singh and Krishan Kumar.
