A joint delegation of All Jammu Civil Society Forum (AJCSF) under the aegis of Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) J&K led by Th. Gulchain Singh Charak Former Minister and President DSS met the visiting Home Minister Shri Raj Nath Singh and presented a memorandum. In a departure from the routine, the delegation did not project any demands. Th. Gulchain Singh Charak told the Home Minister (HM) that such visits have become ‘ritualistic’ and lead nowhere. He reminded the HM that the Memorandum presented to him in Sept 2016 when he led the all party parliamentary delegation last year and even its follow up have achieved nothing.
The delegation highlighted the worsening conditions in Kashmir, rampant discrimination with Jammu region and inaction and inaccessibility of the present government dispensation to common citizen of Jammu. Th. Gulchain Singh Charak and Maj Gen Goverdhan Singh Jamwal highlighted various hardships and discriminations with the Jammu region and the armed forces Ex-servicemen fraternity.
President DSS impressed upon a deep rooted conspiracy to undermine and subdue Jammu region which is housing large population from all the three regions of J&K, Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh and is the true nationalistic, secular composite face of J&K State. He sought separate time with the HM and the Hon’ble Prime Minister to discuss a definitive work plan to resolve various grave issues facing the J&K State but remain unattended in the din, violence, hue and cry emanating from a small area within the Kashmir Valley.
