Arrangements for 30 th “Chhari Mubark Yatra” to Purmandal Finalized
Today on 02.04.2024, a combined meeting of Purmandal Utterbehni Shrines Development
Committee, Shri. Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust, Dharmarth Trust,Dogra Sadar
Sabha J&K Sab Heads of different Mandir committees and representatives of the
administration. was held under the Chairmanship of Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, President Shri
Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust, Dogra Sadar Sabha J&K and Purmandal
Uttarbehni Shrines Development Committee at Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Complex Gandhi
Nagar Jammu to finalize the arrangements for the “30 th Chhari Mubark Yatra to Purmandal
Shrines” on Chetar Chaturdashi falling on 7 th of April 2024.
After thread bare discussions, the following decisions were taken :-
1. To make proper arrangement for the transport to be plied for the devotees,
especially, from Purmandal Morh to Purmandal Uttarbehni Shrines. ( RTO and Traffic
Police)
2. Proper arrangements for drinking water and electricity facilities en-route and 3
days congregation at Purmandal (Exn – P.H.E)
3. Cleanliness in Devika and around the temples at Purmandal and Uttarbehni.
(Muncipal Committee Bari-Brahmana and Tourism Department)
4. Proper arrangement of wash rooms at the bank of Devika (Tourism Authority)
5. Maintenance of law and order (Police concerned)
6. Repairs of damaged spots on the road leading to the shrines (P.W.D)
7. Nodal officers Sh. Ranjit Singh,Disstt Panchayat Officer Samba will co-ordinate with
all the concerned departments for the proper arrangements during the Yatra and three
days programme in which large number of devotees are expected to participate at the
historical Shrines of Purmandal and Uttarbehni.
8. Special Chhari Pooja will be performed on 06.04.2024 at 05:00 PM at Shri
Ranbireshwar Mandir Jammu to be arranged by the (Dharmartha trust)
9. On 7 th of April 2024 the Holy Chhari Yatra will be taken out from Ranbireshwar
Mandir by the Mahatmas led by Mahatma Rishi Ban at 07:00 AM Sharp.
10. There after performing Pooja Archana at Shri Raghunath Temple Jammu, the Holy
Maces will reach at Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Gandhi Nagar where a grand Pooja will
be performed and after that the holy Chharis will be taken in a procession joined by
large number of devotees to Purmandal Shrines via Mahadev Mandir Gandhi Nagar, ,
Shiv Mandir Trikuta Nagar, Shiv Mandir Greater Kailash, Shri Narsing Dev Mandir and
Data Ranpat Dev Mandir Birpur and special reception will be organized by the Muslim
and Sikh brothern led by Haji Bhashir Ahmed Malik and Sh.Khatab Hussain at Kharah
Madana and after passing through Mandal and other areas will finally reach Purmandal
shrines.
After that Mahatmas along with other representatives will perform a special pooja at the
historical Shiv Temple Purmandal and then the holy chharis will be kept in the Mandir Complex
for darshan of general public. All the devotees are requested to participate in the Yatra as per
above mentioned programme.

Kulbhushan Bali, KB Magotra, Prithivi Raj, P.C.Gupta.Indu Bhushan Sharma,Smt Kiran
Rajput,Ashok Khajuria, Pritam Singh. and representatives of Bhandara Committee Bari-
Brahmana, Purmandal-Uttarbehni Shrines Development Committee, President and secretary of
Sh. Ram Mandir Shastri Nagar, Panch Mandir Gandhi Nagar, Data Ranpat Dev Committee,
Narsing Dev Mandir Birpur and other prominent persons.
