A heart rendering Shradhanjali was paid to the 18 martyrs of the cowardly Pakistan sponsored terrorist attack on the unarmed sleeping soldiers, without any provocation.

The members condemned Pakistan in strong words and demanded stern action and immediate abrogation of the Indus Water Treaty.
The committee noted with great concern that even after the assurance of the Chief Minister Ms Mehbooba Mufti as the Chairperson of the Jammu Mubarak Mandi Heritage Society, nothing has moved on the ground. Members demanded for its immediate opening to the general public and the tourists to get glimpses of the vanishing treasure of this heritage.
The committee requested for reassured and foolproof security arrangements for the conduct of pilgrimages in the Jammu region.
The committee welcomed the vacancies announced for employment of youth in the state but demanded an equal share of these in all three regions, so that the law abiding nationalist population does not feel robbed of their opportunities for being gentle and good.
Further, the committee demanded fair compensation for the losses suffered by the Jammu region in trade and industry, hotels, tourism and transport due to the turmoil in the Valley. The package to compensate the losses, if/when released by the central government should be equally and fairly passed on to all three regions proportionately.
