Dogra Sadar Sabha, J&K in its executive committee meeting has expressed its thanks to the people and administration for making the Festival a great success with their active participation and coordination.
Expressing his gratitude to various organizations including Muslim Biradari, Christian Biradari, Sikh Biradari and a number of cultural organizations, it was observed by the participants that the function was living example of unity in diversity of Dogra culture and heritage, which is known for the history from the days when Raja Jambulochan saw a lion and goat drinking water together.
Eulogizing the state administration for its coordination during the celebrations, the President observed that the law and order, cleanliness and other essential facilities were well maintained during the celebrations. He also expressed his thanks to the members of working committee of Dogra Sadar Sabha for their selfless contribution in organizing the event.
Appreciating various social and cultural organizations, Mr. Charak expressed his heartfelt thanks for keeping aloft the flag of communal harmony, brotherhood and peaceful co-existence. He expressed his special thanks to the poets drawn from different districts of Jammu Division for their enthralling representation at the Kavi Sammelan. The Sammelan was glorified by the participation of eminent Poetess Padma Shri Mrs. Padma Sachdeva. He told that the participating poets would be awarded the certificates of participation by the Sabha on April 21st, 2016.
It was also decided that Divisional Commissioner Jammu would be requested to hold a meeting of all the participating organizations to review the celebrations and evolve a strategy for further improvement.
