Jammu, Dec 17: A Working Committee meeting of the Dogra Sadar Sabha was held today under the chairmanship of Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, Sabha President and former Minister, to finalize preparations for the 120th Annual General Council Meeting scheduled to be held on December 28, 2024. The grand event will witness the participation of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah as the chief Guest and other distinguished dignitaries shall also mark their presence. The former Minister reaffirmed his dedication in uniting the community and working towards the socio-cultural and developmental progress of the Jammu region. During the meeting, the Sabha members also paid heartfelt homage to the legendary tabla maestro Zakir Hussain, honoring his unparalleled contributions to the world of music and society at large.
The Sabha members also extended congratulations to the newly elected team of the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, expressing hope in their leadership and commitment to upholding justice and legal integrity in the region.
Concluding the meeting, Th. Gulchain Singh Charak appealed to the respected members to wholeheartedly participate in the upcoming Annual General Council Meeting, emphasizing that their active involvement would strengthen the Sabha’s efforts to preserve and promote Dogra culture and heritage.
