Th Gulchain Singh Charak, Former Minister and President Dogra Sadar Sabha hoisted the National Flag at Dogra Hall, the office of DSS, on the occasion of the 75th Independence as disclosed in a press statement issued here today.
Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Charak recounted the sacrifices made by the great freedom fighters like Sardar Patel, B. R. Ambedkar, Netaji Subhash Chander Bose, Bhagat Singh and others, in the struggle for India’s Independence. He said that today was an occasion to renew our pledge to work for the integrity, sovereignty, progress and prestige of the country through discipline, hard work and upholding the principles and ideals dear to the great leaders who dedicated themselves to attaining freedom by India from the yolk of slavery after hundreds of years.
On the occasion, he also thanked Sh. Narendera Modi, the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, and Sh Manoj Sinha, the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir for the inclusion of Mubarak Mandi, amongst other protected monuments in the country, for the national celebrations in connection with 75 years of India’s Independence as announced by Sh. Sinha. He also urged upon the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor to kindly review the pace of work of conservation of the magnificent Mubarak Mandi Complex and to consider directing the concerned at the earliest to drop the incompatible move to convert part of it into a heritage hotel.
In the end Sh. Prem Sagar Gupta thanked the participants and distributed the sweets among them.,
