1^st of June, 2016A high powered delegation of Dogra Sadar Sabha led by its president

 

and other officers of Jammu division today on 1^St of June, 2016 in the meeting hall in the office of Divisional Commissioner to discuss the following burning issues of public importance:-

1. Infamous Khour rape case of a girl in police custody.
2. Compensation to the next of kins of Late Chamail Singh of Pargwal at par with Sarabjeet Singh who were killed in Pakistan Jail.
3. Renovation of Mubarak Mandi complex.
4. Compensation of land under Army occupation in whole of the Jammu division in general and in subdivision Akhnoor particularly.
5. Establishment of a Sainik colony in Kashmir Province.
6. Remuneration of Numberdars and Chowkidars to be enhanced and uniforms to Numberdars and Chowkidars be issue.
7. Payment of tanker of water being used in Akhnoor area to augment water supply be made at earliest.
8. Declaration of Jeo- Pota complex as a protected monument.
9. Relocation of memorial of Late. Gen Atma Singh  (Details as per memorandum enclosed)

In addition to this the following Points were also raised by the delegation in the meeting:-

1     Distribution of ration to all the people in general and Tehsil -Khour in particular is not being done judiciously and there is mismanagement on this account.

2     Encroachment of Devika and Doodh- Ganga water bodies by the land mafia.

All the points raised in the memorandum and additional points were discussed in detail with the Divisional Commissioner and other officers of Revenue, police and tourism present in the meeting.

The Divisional Commissioner at the outset appreciated the activities of Dogra Sadar Sabha and role played by it, especially to maintain communal harmony, Preservance of Cultural Heritage and other issues of public importance.

He assured to convey all the issues raised in the memorandum to the honorable Chief Minister and other concerned agencies.

He also assured to take action on all points raised in the memorandum at the earliest at his level. Regarding payment of land compensation and rentals in Akhnoor area the Asstt. Com Revenue Jammu assured to complete the papers with in fifteen days and pay the dues to all concerned directly to the bank accounts of concerned individual payees.
