On October 26, 2024, Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak, Former Minister and President of Dogra Sadar Sabha J&K, in a function at Rajinder Singh Chowk in Jammu paid tribute to the supreme sacrifice of Brigadier Rajinder Singh MVS, a revered Dogra military leader. The event was attended by Army veterans, serving officers from the Rising Star Corps, and other prominent personalities who gathered to pay their respects to Brigadier Rajinder Singh, remembered as the “Savior of Kashmir.”
During the tribute ceremony, Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak emphasized the legacy of Brigadier Singh, highlighting his courageous stand against the invading forces in October 1947, which is credited with delaying the advance and securing critical time for the Indian forces to protect Kashmir. His selfless valor and dedication to his duty saved countless lives and preserved the territorial integrity of the region.
The gathering, which included high-ranking military personnel, veterans, and community leaders, reflected on Brigadier Singh’s enduring legacy as a symbol of bravery and patriotism.
