Industries reached a point of closure in absence of raw material, supplies, forced Industrial lockouts could lead to unemployment. Some larger industrial groups were planning to move out of the State due to such uncertainty. Some members projected that with the implementation of GST, the toll tax should be abolished and services tax not levied in a backward State of J&K. The facilities, concession and incentives to tourism and industries now in vogue must continue and revised from time to time, as hither to.

They exhorted all elders who wish well for Kashmiris, Kashmiriyat and have some love for the young Kashmiri lads to come forward to find a peaceful solution. They called for a joint convention of well meaning members of civil societies from all three regions of the State, since no permanent solution can be found without taking all three regions in confidence. They also proposed to hold a joint convention by co-opting members from all the three regions.
“It is time,” said the former minister of J&K State while explaining “that the Kashmir leaders see the light of the day and read the writings on the wall and take effective steps to calm down the situation to retrieve the misguided youth from the path of their own self destruction and guide them to constructive nation building”. “There is no dearth of talent among J&K youth and our boys and girls have excelled in many fields of academics, professional competitions, art, culture and sports” he added. He brought out that the gun culture has not achieved anything in past three decades and the path of confrontation on alien behest has brought only misery for the last seventy years. Even our brethren on the west of LoC in PoJK have been living a suppressed underdeveloped life of scarcities and denial of opportunities. He said that we must now learn from the history and cast a new prosperous future for posterity. What have we taught to our next generations and where are we leading them to? He questioned suggesting that time has come to revisit our priorities and leave behind a peaceful, better and prosperous life for the generations to come.
